Jovan Petronijević
-Award: Winning 3-D work with Most Votes-

Picture
Let us introduce you to the work of Jovan Petronijević, an artist from Belgrade, Serbia.
Born in 1956. his life was infused with all forms of art. He is a poet, a painter and an excellent sculptor. Lately, the theme of  his work is old Serbian and Slavic mythology, which aligned him into the pioneers of Serbian sculpturing. Not only that he's bringing back to life old neglected and almost forgotten values of Serbian and Slavic cultural being, he also verifies the fact, already accepted in international archeological circles, that old Europe was born in the neolith age in Vinča, Starčevo, Lepenski Vir and many other territories which are Serbian legacy.
Full biography, artworks and additional information available in the "Artists Gone Global 2011" book.
