Hollace M. Metzger
Hollace M. Metzger is a cross-disciplinary artist and architect from the United Statesí Midwest. Her art and poetic texts have been exhibited in Paris, New York, Greece and Italy in addition to increasing exposure of her painting, photography, philosophy, stage design and vocal work in literary publications, theatre, web and radio broadcasts. Through her (often combined) explorations in the visual arts, architecture, poetry, voice and sound, one often finds a strong element of humanism because Metzgerís motivation is rooted in human psychology, in human scale and in defining an environmentís ability to secure specific moments, memories and sentiments in time. The passage of time and movement being an important study for Metzger, she says, ìOur movement in space, through life, is governed by our response to our environment and our response to our environment is affected by how we are able to connect to it. A life, a civilization, can be remembered ñ and perhaps constructed - by all moments in time where we have connected ourselves to it.î
